We Bring Value and Precision to Your Engineering Project
A Woolf & Associates engineer provides quality full service civil and structural engineering and design to local and high-volume home builders, architects, and commercial contractors.
Structural Design - Structural design is a highly specialized area of civil engineering that can be described as a set of methods which are used to determine safe and economical specifications for a structure, and to ensure that a planned structure will be sufficiently strong to carry its intended load. Working hand in hand with architects and designers we provide structural design and analysis of commercial and residential buildings that are visually appealing with a focus on strength, durability, and safety.
Construction Documents - We provide construction documents that serve as a project manual to construct the building and to assist in receiving a building permit from the governing authority. These building design drawings feature foundation plans, floor plans, roof plans, and details required to construct the building.
Construction Administration - Commercial construction administration is a service we provide to stay involved during the construction process to help solve problems and assist with delivering a high-quality project.
Cold Formed Metal Stud Design and Detailing - We provide specialized expertise in the design of cold-formed steel (light gauge) structures. Cold-formed steel (CFS) shop drawings provide all the detailing and information required by the contractor/subcontractor to accurately complete installation. CFS shop drawings are provided with a quick turnaround time for fast approvals from architects and engineers. In addition, to the CFS shop drawings we provide support during construction for questions and/or changes that arise from changing field conditions.
Site Drainage / Design - Site/Drainage design is critical in directing the storm water runoff out of the subject property, to an approved municipal drainage feature. A well planned drainage design must complement all existing drainage patterns; control flooding of land, structures and roadways for design flood events; and minimize potential impacts.
Septic System Design - Onsite sewage treatment and disposal systems (OSTDS), commonly referred to as septic systems, are currently used for wastewater disposal by approximately 30% of Florida’s population. With an estimated 2.6 million systems in operation, Florida represents 12% of the United States’ septic systems. Proper design is important to help protect Florida’s ground water, which provides 90% of the state's drinking water. We ensure your system is adequately designed to the standards of the Florida Department of Environmental Health for proper functionality, maintainability & environmental impact. We pride ourselves on our experience in order to streamline the permitting process.
